Not only is black goji berry tea all organic, 100% natural and super healthy, the tea is actually blue and changes color when mixed with lemon or lime juice! How crazy is that?

Again, it’s all natural without any chemicals – black goji berry tea is pure nature:

Black goji berries are an incredibly rare and exotic fruit grown widly in the extreme and harsh environments of Central Asia. Our goji berries are sourced from the remote desert terrains of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, a vast elevated plain often referred to as “the Roof of the World”.

Black goji berries have been used extensively in Chinese medicine to treat heart disease, hypertension, abnormal menstruation and menopause. Compared to the common red goji berry, they are much higher in nutritional value.Brewing instructions for black goji berry tea

As the richest known plant source of OPC (Oligomeric Proanthocyanidin) it has magnificent antioxidant capabilities. OPC is one of the most effective water soluble free-radical scavengers. It is 20 times more powerful than Vitamin C and 50 times more powerful than Vitamin E. As a result, black goji berries may have the ability to slow down the aging process, lower cholesterol, and to prevent and slow the growth of cancer.

Wolfberry is the common name for the fruit of two very closely related species, namely Lycium barbarum and Lycium chinense, two species of boxthorn in the family of Solanaceae. Black goji berries or wolfberry species can be grown in many regions and climates but our black goji berry is almost unknown. Bluechai’s black goji berries are also known as black wolfberry, black goji berry, black barbary matrimony vine, black bocksdorn, Duke of Argyll’s tea tree, or black matrimony vine.

The black goji (rare black wolfberries) nutritional value is much higher than the closely related red goji berries. The mineral and trace elements content is also much higher than the red goji berry. Black goji berries have been known to increase melanin levels in the body and reduce free radicals through their high level of antioxidants.

Brewing instructions for black goji berry tea:

Boil a few black goji berries, approx 5-7 berries per cup, and let steep for 3-4 minutes. Your cup of tea will begin to turn blue within a minute. If you would like your blue tea to change color (kids love this!), then simply add a drop of lemon or lime juice to your drink and it’ll magically turn pink.

Our black goji berries can also be chewed directly, put into cereal for a healthy breakfast or baked into bread or muffin (like raisins, but black goji berry bread provides more nutrients than raisins). In the kitchen the black gojies can also be used in stews or as delicious ingredient with meat (pork, chicken or fish), just add a handful of berries 15 minutes before the meat is done for a delicious sweet flavor.

No artificial colors, no additives, no persevatives!

Not normally a tea drinker, I love the taste of this tea, it has a subtle flavour and the berries can be eaten after!

I guess I was expecting this to be a tea but it does change the color of plain tea and tastes good in yogurt once softened. My favorite is still the butterfly pea flower tea

Never again does tea have to be boring! Not only does it taste good but the colour is beautiful. Looking forward to trying the other teas also.
